My portfolio
Record the stocks you bought and follow what they are worth now, your gain or loss, how the money is spread across sectors and the Sharia screen. A virtual portfolio to follow: no broker link, nothing is executed.
What is this page?
- Record each purchase or sale: the ticker, the quantity, the price in US dollars, the date, and the commission, fees and tax you paid.
- Your average cost includes fees, so your gain or loss is net of what you actually paid.
- On a sale we work out the realized gain or loss after the sale's fees; the average cost of what is left does not change.
- We value the portfolio at the latest available price (up to 15 minutes delayed) and compare it with what you paid.
- Your data is yours: nobody else sees it, and it is deleted if you delete your account.
Cost
What you paid for the shares you still hold: quantity × purchase price + commission, fees and tax.Average cost
Cost ÷ number of shares, fees included. It changes when you buy the same stock at different prices, not when you sell.Realized gain or loss
The result of what you actually sold: net sale proceeds after fees minus the cost of the shares sold at the average cost.Unrealized gain or loss
The difference between what your shares are worth now and what they cost. Unrealized because you have not sold, so it can change.Weight
A holding's share of the whole portfolio's value. A big weight means its moves matter more to the portfolio.Estimated dividends
What you would receive in a year if companies kept paying as in the last 12 months, before tax.
